GASTREX, when taken with adequate fluids, provides relief from the symptoms of diarrhoea, including loose motions, cramps and associated pain. Gastrex allows you to proceed with your normal routine and holiday/business plans.

• Do not use in children under 12 years of age
• For longer than 48 hours
• If you are allergic to Gastrex or any other medicine containing Loperamide
• If you are constipated; or if constipation should be avoided

Consult a doctor of pharmacist before us if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• If you have a fever, sever stomach pain or notice blood in your stool
• If you have an ongoing condition effecting the bowel

If diarrhoea persists worsens of if new symptoms appear after 2 days of treatment, seek medical advice as soon as possible.

Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated, as fluid and electrolyte depletion may occur with diarrhoea.  If dehydration is suspected seek medical attention.

Contains Suphites and Sugars (as lactose)

Each capsule contains: Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg.


Also contains lactose.

Adults and Children over 12 years: Initial dose is 2 capsules with water followed by 1 capsule with water after each loose bowel motion, as needed. Do not exceed 8 capsules in 24 hours.
